About Us
The Friends of Ganondagan was formed in 1989 to lend physical, spiritual, and financial support to Ganondagan State Historic Site, Victor, NY. The Friends are Native Americans and non-Natives who share a common understanding of the significance of the past at the site.Ganondagan State Historic Site is dedicated to the Message of Peace. The Friends of Ganondagan believe in preserving and promoting that Message by fostering an informed interest in Native American history and culture -- in particular, the Seneca relation to the Haudenosaunee (Iroquois) Confederacy. Ganondagan was home to the woman known as the Mother of Nations. She was the first person to accept the message of unity that the Peacemaker brought to each nation, and helped to form the Confederacy.Iroquois White Corn Project: hand-grown, hand-picked, hand-processed, our Iroquois White Corn is traditionallyand carefully managed and protected to bring you nutritious corn products from heirloom seeds dating back at least 1,400 years in Haudenosaunee (Iroquois) communities.
